Elizabeth was recently elected to be on the board of the Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney Foundation.\u00a0 The mission of the board is to \u201cbe an integral part of elevating the beauty and appeal of our great city to the highest levels by showcasing the premier flowering plant of the South throughout our community in a thoughtful and meaningful manner; and by promoting McKinney Texas \u2013 America\u2019s Crape Myrtle City!\u201d<\/p>\n

The group is involved in the development and improvement of the World Collection Park, has a relationship with MISD in which they provide each 5th grader with a free crape myrtle on the Friday before Mother\u2019s Day and is part of \u201cFriends of the Trails.\u201d<\/p>\n
